I am the trusted adviser to my portfolio of ultra-high net worth individual and entrepreneurial clients. I have extensive experience in advising private business owners on complex tax matters to help them achieve both their personal and business objectives. I have a particular interest in advising on transactions and restructurings with a view to helping vendor shareholders maximising value for their business and improving the availability of reliefs.I have also advised many clients on their UK tax residency positions, the structuring of significant land sales for development by multiple landowners, and IHT and succession planning for clients with complex asset bases. Clients value my strong commercial awareness and ability to find pragmatic solutions to problematic scenarios.In addition to the advisory side of my role, I am also experienced in the preparation and review of detailed self-assessment tax returns as my clients have a wide range of reporting requirements. I also have extensive experience in liaising with HMRC and dealing with enquiries.My role also involves me looking at strategic targeting and business development opportunities for the team. I have led on various initiatives internally from a business and client development perspective. I am also invested in the development of the wider team and take an active role in coaching and mentoring junior members of the team to promote their career development. I also facilitate on internal tax technical courses for junior analysts and am experienced in presenting to key stakeholders both locally and nationally.During my time at Deloitte I have undertaken two secondments to work with my colleagues in India. On these secondments I helped develop the team by providing tax technical training, assisting with complex queries and focussing on improving client delivery.

At Wideformat Solutions I was responsible for customer liaison and contacting clients to pursue sales. I worked closely with the company directors to discuss sales and marketing strategies. I gained valuable experience in working with the products of multinational companies such as Epson and HP.

I was made a student ambassador and my role included helping out on open days at the Chemistry School. I was relied upon to welcome prospective students to the university and to talk with them to give them a taste of life at the University of Birmingham.I was also required to present campus and accommodation tours. Whilst guiding tours I represented the university in a professional manner, discussing key aspects of the university and the course itself whilst remaining diplomatic in my views.

I was responsible for making a positive impact at a variety of different workplaces on a day-to-day basis. Key skills required to succeed in this role were adaptability, reliability and good teamwork skills. I had to show willing and dedication by working not only at different workplaces but at different times of the day to suit my employer.

BDF Newlife is a charity that raises money for children born with birth defects. My role in the data entry team was to process stock quickly and accurately before sorting it. It was imperative that I communicated well with other departments and with shift managers so that charitable profits were maximised on a daily basis.
