As a support specialist and team lead for the IBM Emptoris Strategic Supply Management suite I was leading a team of 7 support engineers located in Munich, Berlin and Düsseldorf (Germany).As the team lead my focus was to establish and drive local team structures and processes, coordinate the local German team with the worldwide IBM Emptoris support organization and act as manager stand-in to cover product and support specific tasks.As support engineer for Emptoris Strategic Supply Management suite I focused on the Emptoris Contract Management (ECM) module. I supported customers in solving reported poblems by analyzing diagnostic data, creating action plans and eventually providing workarounds and solutions to overcome the reported issue. In addition to the client facing interaction I was collaborating with the IBM Emptoris engineering and IBM SAAS devops teams to solve client reported issues.

I was part of a world wide team in the DB2 LUW L2 support organisation which is responsible for support of SAP OEM clients using DB2 LUW as their primary database management system.As part of the team I was working closely with the SAP development support team to streamline the support experience for SAP OEM clients that use IBM Db2 LUW as the base database management system for their SAP instance.

I covered the AVS (Accelerated Value Specialist) role for Db2 LUW as part of a cross band AVP contract for one of IBM's banking clients in Germany.My focus was to establish direct relationship with named client contacts and act as their primary contact for DB2 LUW related inquiries. During this multi year engagement I helped the client on their journey from Db2 LUW version 8 to 9.5 to 10.1.

As a level 2 support engineer for DB2 UDB on Linux, Unix and Windows I was working with clients to help solve complex database issues by analyzing diagnostic data and source code, creating action plans and eventually providing workarounds and solutions.As part of the IBM world wide support organisation I helped to cover the 24*7 “follow the sun” model to ensure our clients get support coverage whenever they need it.As a level 2 support engineer I was working with the IBM DB2 LUW engineering team to identify product defects as well as collaborating with cross product teams in and outside of IBM.
