As a Test Consultant in laya healthcare, I perform day to day Quality Assurance in addition to consultancy on Quality Assurance process improvement and test automation. The project work undertaken involves core insurance processes and systems for individual members and Corporate Groups- Policy and member management system- Premium Quote engine- Renewals- New product launch- Website functionality- Member communication (certs, brochures, letters, emails)The consultancy work involves adoption of new or improved testing framework items. This includes new or improved- Test Plan- Test scripts- In test reporting- Scheduled defect review meetings with minutes- Defect Mgt process and standard defect log- Test exit process and exit report- UAT template and guidelines for business users.Due to the longevity of the contract I have also be able to assist laya healthcare set-up website test automation capabilities and to set-up end to end test management software to further improve the in-house testing processes.

Manager of the AOL Business Readiness trial for new AOL customers on a new CRM and Billing platform. Responsibility for coordination of the Trial through Business Change Managers from the following areas of the business: Sales, Marketing, On-line, Provisioning, Billing, Payments, Revenue Assurance, Collections, Finance, Support Operations and Customer Service in life support.

As Test Manager, I fulfilled two distinct roles. Firstly, system testing tasks for Customer Services applications (approx 70 applications). Secondly, facilitation of UAT for the CRM and Billing application with Customer Services business representatives. My period in AOL coincided with a migration of the business from AOL Inc to TalkTalk which involved testing for a diverse range of projects including customer data migrations, customer network migrations, internal network migrations, replacement of numerous windows and web based applications with custom built applications and 3rd party products. KPN (Holland) (Nov 2003 – July 2004): Technical project manager for the development and testing of order fulfilment and customer care processes for KPN’s mobile business market. This included the development of a client server application to produce workflow driven business processes.Eircom, KPN, Argos, J.D. Williams (Nov 2002 – Nov 2003): Technical project manager for a range of projects including a telephony and CTI upgrade for Argos UK, scoping of Eircoms future strategic call centre projects, analysis of call centre processes for J.D. Williams and technical consultancy for KPN.Zebank (July 2002 – Nov 2002): Technical project manager for the delivery of Egg bank’s (Prudential UK) credit card processes to Zebank for the launch of the Carte Egg credit card in France. This involved localisation and customisation to support French financial services regulations and language.AIB (June 2001 – May 2002): Team Lead for the development and testing of AIB’s campaign management and campaign execution system. This included a hands-on role for performance testing of the application. Prudential Bank (Aug 1998 – July 1999, Oct 2000 – Feb 2001): Software Engineer responsible for delivery of savings account business processes for the launch of Egg bank. I returned to Egg for the delivery of a credit card processes when Egg launched its first credit card. Argos (Apr 2000 – Oct 2000): Software engineer who developed Argos’s place order functionality that takes order details from the Argos website and fulfils the order in the various Stock, Stores and Delivery back-end systems.
