I graduated magna cum laude from Iowa State University in May 2021, earning a degree in public relations and minors in both political science and event management. I am a marketing and public relations professional employed at Telco Triad Community Credit Union, located in Sioux City, IA.In my current position I plan and execute social media campaigns, print & digital campaigns, community events, staff events, maintain consistent branding among branches and manage the website. One thing I love about the Credit Union Industry is the motto of "People Helping People" — it's not a competition, everyone is willing to help no matter what because everyone is striving to do what is best for their Credit Union Members.Some of my past experience: Marketing Director & VITA Program Coordinator at Center For Siouxland, a nonprofit agency located in Sioux City Iowa. In this previous role, my marketing duties were strategically planning social media campaigns and print campaigns that would be appealing to the Siouxland Community. In my VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program Coordinator duties, I recruited volunteers. Much of my recruiting efforts were with the three local colleges in the Siouxland area; Morningside University, Briar Cliff University and Western Iowa Tech Community College. When tax season started, I was in charge of marketing the program to the community. All in all these two positions that I held worked very well together. While I was attending Iowa State University I had many roles. Those included: Communications Assistant for the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University; Content Marketing Intern with Workiva Inc.; Communications Intern with the College of Engineering at Iowa State University; and Social Media/Marketing Intern with Kohl's Professional Kicking Camps.
