Olivia Dawson is a Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She possess expertise in mechanical engineering, solidworks, engineering. Colleagues describe her as "Olivia built and designed a spatial heterodyne spectrometer for her master’s thesis - a type of spectrometer which may be used in the future to observe comets or planetary atmospheres! Her prodigious engineering skills were evident as she completed its fabrication in time for an observing campaign on Kitt Peak at the McMath-Pierce Solar Telescope facility. I watched while she skillfully coordinated shipping of this instrument, became nocturnal, and spent many hours patiently tweaking the optics. Her drive and her ability to break a large project like this into smaller manageable pieces will be an asset to any future project."
