Olivia Durrett Email and Phone Number
I am a fourth-year astrophysics undergraduate at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) looking to gain work experience in demanding settings. I have several years of research and teaching experience in a variety of environments, from data analysis algorithm design at the University of California Berkeley to teaching Caltech's only introductory physics laboratory course for the past three years. I have developed an extensive and versatile skillset that I readily and confidently apply to any challenge. In particular, I am an effective programmer, familiar with various data and image processing programs, comfortable using delicate scientific equipment, and have a strong ability to organize and lead a team. Above all else, I am an enthusiastic and dedicated scientist who is always eager to learn and unafraid to take on new challenges.I am currently seeking full-time employment related to astronomy, astrophysics, and/or planetary science, preferably with an on-site working component and the opportunity to gain informal engineering experience. Ideally, the position will allow me to begin as soon as possible and work through the end of December 2021, with the potential to continue part-time through as late as August 2022, at which time I intend to begin my graduate studies. I am currently located in Pasadena, CA, but am able to relocate as needed.
