STEMS4girls is a STEM enrichment after school program for children. The programs is to increase diversity in respected fields. As a volunteer, I act as a mentor to guide and teach youth about different careers and help facilitate growth of a STEM identity while also conducting administrative tasks.

Through the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program at FSU I have been able to have hands on experience in a microbiology lab- the Thoms Lab. I have learned to make cultures, conduct assays, tweak experiments, use equipment, and much more. I will present my research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

During the summers in Daytona Beach I sell ice cream in a food truck. I have gained value skills throughout this role such as customer service, organization, and leadership.
