Yellowstone National Park— Lake Yellowstone Hotel

As a Guest Service Agent, I managed the front desk of the oldest hotel in Yellowstone National Park--Lake Yellowstone Hotel. I was honored to work in the Nation's 1st National Park for an entire summer and became an adaptable problem-solver by working through unique challenges like power outages, wildlife attacks, and unforeseen storms. Halfway through the summer, I was promoted to a Senior position behind the desk, which allowed me to put my leadership skills into action through conflict resolution, efficient decision-making and creative solution-finding, while maintaining the hotel's historic culture. In addition to my position at the front desk, I experienced unique adventures in and outside the park. I earned the honor of joining the 100-mile hiking club (hiking over 150 miles over 3 months) and visited 3 different National Parks throughout Montana/Wyoming. My weekends were filled with exploration and enjoying the beautiful creation of Yellowstone, which allowed me to connect with guests during the weekdays. I was able to first-hand recommend hikes and aid in their daily planning to ensure they received a positive experience in the park!
