I have been an employee at a Gloria Jeans Franchise for almost 5 years now and throughout my time within this company I have learnt many skills and developed a fantastic work ethic. My job as a barista is to create delicious coffee and other specialty drinks in order to satisfy the customer. Through this position I have gained an understanding of the importance of customer service and the ability to easily communicate with clients, which is a skill that I believe is an important and necessary aspect within most career situations. When I began with this company in 2012 I was a junior, however, throughout my time here I have progressed into the role of supervisor which has given me the opportunity to tackle new skills and responsibilities. Through this position I am trusted with opening and closing the shop, handling any administration tasks, supervising the work of junior staff members and I have also been given the opportunity to train new staff members.
