I am seeking internships in which I have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a field related to medicine. The opportunities that I am looking for are research positions and internships that focus mainly on anatomy and physiology. In these positions I am also hoping to find an outlet in which I am able to interact with patients in the hospital setting. I have taken several classes in high school that relate to anatomy and physiology, as well as learned important physical assessment and wrapping techniques that are often used in kinesiology. In addition to my thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology, I also have experience volunteering at a hospital and interacting with patients. I am familiar with the working conditions of the hospital and have had experience dealing with patients. Due to this experience I know how to effectively communicate with patients in a manner that will make each of them feel most comfortable in such an uncertain place. I enjoy trying to present topics in new ways and often use my creative thinking skills to try and find intersections between medicine/science and media. I feel that by presenting material in an engaging, unique way, this will get people to be more invested in what you are trying to share, especially if they do not have much prior knowledge of the topic you are speaking about. I would be an asset to any organization due to my constant effort to try and make the content I am working with, engaging for any viewer. This skill aids in my ability to connect with others on a more personal level, as well as allows me to constantly have a mindset in which I am coming up with a new way to look at a problem or idea so that it can be improved.
