I was heavily involved in a project encompassing a complete redesign of the DishDrawer Dishwasher from conception in 2012 through to production in 2015. During that time I was the lead engineer for a number of plastic parts including the kickstrip at the bottom of the product and the spray arm for sending water throughout the tub. I was heavily involved in a project encompassing a complete redesign of the DishDrawer Dishwasher from conception in 2012 through to production in 2015. During that time I was the lead engineer for a number of plastic parts including the kickstrip at the bottom of the product and the spray arm for sending water throughout the tub. In that role, I developed plans to ensure parts were ready in time for various milestones, designed and built part prototypes, carried out testing, analysed test data, created complete CAD models and ensured parts can be manufactured within specification. I started teaching beginners' Karate while training under my teachers at my home dojo in Hamilton. I later founded the Christchurch branch of DKNZ in my third year of study at the University of Canterbury. While working as the sole instructor and dojo operator, I developed basic knowledge of finances and budgeting, and very good organizational skills to be able to teach Karate around my university studies. My work included component manufacture and product assembly. Component manufacture included manual drilling, turning and grinding, also the use of auto-lathes. Strict tolerances were required for this, and I also did quality assurance. Welding of some machine tools was also required, and I spent several hours learning the necessary processes.
