Beginning in Spring 2015, I now work as a writing adviser for CLUE, the University of Washington's late-night study and tutoring center. CLUE is open during the majority of school nights, and is located primarily on the first floor of Mary Gates Hall. As a member of the Writing Center team, I spend several evenings per week helping students work on anything from English 111 composition portfolios to graduate-level scholarly papers. In many ways, it's the best job I could have hoped for; I get a good excuse to stay up late and I get to help people improve their writing, both of which I already spend quite a bit of time doing regardless! (And, it's also worth noting that I get the exciting opportunity to read about some really interesting content from a wide variety of classes, many of which I wouldn't otherwise have time to take or even know about at all!) I began preparing in Spring quarter 2015 to be a First-Year Interest Group (FIG) leader at the University of Washington for the incoming class of freshmen in Autumn 2015; as a FIG leader, my role is to be the facilitator of a General Studies 199 section. Starting in July of 2014 and ending on Christmas Eve that same year, I worked as a Sales Associate at Brookstone, a specialty/novelty retail store, in Northgate Mall. As well as six months of highly sales-focused retail experience, I gained from that position several good friends, a vastly improved resilience for handling the general public in a professional manner, and the ability to very effectively and politely kick teenagers out of multi-thousand dollar massage chairs

I was a Teaching Aide for the 2014 Reel Life In Focus class, which was part of the UW Robinson Center's Summer Stretch program for 7th-10th graders. The class focused on film production (writing scripts, logging film,...) and film editing techniques.

I spent the summer of 2013 working at Old Navy as a Sales Associate. I spent some of my time as a cashier and some of it on the floor welcoming customers, organizing and preparing displays, and providing customer service wherever I was able.
