My primary role at Stars of HOPE was assisting in their transition to Salesforce. To this end, I completed extensive training in Salesforce, with a focus on Pardot and NPSP. I then implemented my learning to transition data from Mailchimp, build links between their Wordpress website and Salesforce (sometimes using Zapier), create drip campaigns in Pardot's Engagement Studio, and write guides on how to do each of the tasks I performed so that other employees could easily learn and replicate the processes. In addition to software experience, I gained greater understanding of how to create a marketing campaign. In particular, building the drip campaigns allowed me to consider the user experience with our website from the first page/pop-up, and decide how to keep prospects engaged.I also produced reports based on analysis of Stars of HOPE's Facebook and Instagram engagement metrics, focusing on trends pre- and post-COVID. I presented these findings to supervisors through a powerpoint that included exact metrics, graphics, examples, and written analysis.

At Charles Group Consulting I performed daily news roundups by compiling headlines, writing brief summaries, and identifying articles to post on social media. I conducted background research on the issues clients care about; I then drafted talking points for clients and/or legislators to use when proponing the issues, and occasionally created graphics to accompany those talking points. Pre-COVID, I attended hearings at the Massachusetts State House meet with state representatives and senators to advocate on behalf of clients. Post-COVID, I collaborated with the intern team to coordinate and host virtual events. We also wrote weekly newsletters to keep clients apprised of the most important State House developments.

The Rogue Valley Family Fun Fest is a back-to-school event for local underprivileged families that brings together different community resources agencies and supplies (school supplies, haircuts, well-child check-ups,) to equip families for the upcoming school year. I began working with Family Fun Fest in 2015, serving as the sole student representative on the coordinating committee. In my first few years, I created signs, distributed flyers to local businesses, and recruited high school volunteers.In the last three years, I proposed, planned, and implemented social media campaigns to spread the word about the event to our community. I developed goals for each campaign, adjusting them between each year. I work with Spanish-speakers to ensure that every post is bilingual. I carefully planned the timing of posts to ensure that our feed stayed current.In 2019, when Family Fun Fest lost the bulk of its funding, I assisted in organizing data for grants and built spreadsheets. I also began keeping track of our social media analytics (using Facebook and Instagram Insights) to provide additional data on the reach and community engagement of this event.In 2020, I developed a virtual celebration to accompany our backpack distribution. I worked with local resource agencies and community organizations to develop videos that challenged students to a fun, interactive activity. I then drafted a website for the Rogue Valley Family Fun Fest in 2020 both to inform families about the adjusted format of the event, and to educate potential donors about our mission and history. I set up a Google Analytics account for the website, and recorded metrics throughout the summer. I worked with our fiscal agent to also develop a crowdfunding page on GiveLively. I also wrote the press release this year to inform local media outlets of the event.

I worked with MASSCreative as their Campaign and Policy Research intern. The close office atmosphere and supportive supervision provided me with exposure to many facets of the organization, allowed me to hone skills in a multitude of areas, and let me take initiative where I saw space. In addition to conducting research on topics as diverse as local mayoral campaigns and regulations regarding advocacy for 501(c)3 organizations, I generated summary reports of my findings and proposed next steps. In one of my favorite projects of the summer, I examined the tactics and offered resources of a variety of other nonprofits; I then held a pitch meeting with my supervisor to relay different ideas I thought MASSCreative could adopt to enhance their work.

In my capacity of Paralegal Assistant, I performed duties such as filing documents, writing outgoing letters to opposing counsel, and sorting insurance claim files. I learned new tasks quickly and adapted to the style of writing necessary for legal proceedings. I also served as part-time receptionist, where I greeted clients, answered phones, and processed payments. I trained three people in the front desk duties and wrote a handbook on expectations and procedures.• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
