When I think about what drives me, the answer is people. From my clients, to my mentees, to my coworkers, to my students, people are at the heart of everything I do. I love digging into situations and thinking creatively to find the best solution possible to serve the people my job impacts. A prime example of this is when I worked directly with the founder of New Latitude Movers to develop a new system of tracking and collecting the financials for the storage side of the business. The new system I developed led to a total collection rate for the year in the high 90s, all while earning straight A’s my senior year of college and becoming a cat mom.My coworkers would describe me as hard-working (I’m consistently among the top performers on any team I’m part of), positive (according to them, I am the human version of sunshine), and a straight-shooter (why beat around the bush if you can just acknowledge it?) In college I was known as the girl who was chronically over-committed but determined to do it all. Each year, I balanced two-three jobs, being on the leadership team for a campus organization, and a full class load, all while maintaining a high enough GPA to graduate Summa Cum Laude.One of my favorite questions is “what do you do outside of work?” because I am always working to find new activities to try. If college taught me anything, it was the importance of maintaining a healthy balance of hard work and hobbies.
