At Wren Kitchens I was involved with a variety of projects spanning from CMS optimisation, marketing emails and conducting user research for the customer facing app. I was involved initially with the back end system to aid teams throughout the business and in the stores do their jobs more efficiently, optimising the out-dated system throughout. Accompanying this, was a variety of apps for staff to use that would eliminate paper waste and create a more personalised journey for our customers. After a year, I was transferred internally to the web team where I aided in the website user experience, particularly on mobile due to most of our traffic coming from that source. I played a large role in the My Wren App which is on the app store currently which allows customers to sign their documentation, track their delivery and report issues with their delivery which would be sent straight to customer services, eliminating paper and streamlining the process.

Working at a medium sized golf equipment and clothing reseller with multiple brick and mortar stores throughout Yorkshire. I have helped implement an ecommerce team and spearhead the development and re-platforming of a new and improved website with a team both internally and externally dedicated to ensuring the website is performing at optimum levels. Using my experience in previous roles has allowed me to do this with ease and take learnings forward to apply it to a blank canvas.My user experience and ecommerce managerial experience really came to fruition in this challenging role to propel this company ahead of the competition.

Working at a small business selling designer leather goods, I had the opportunity of joining an ever growing team and company and was allowed to really put my mark on the company. After a successful website launch with full analytics implementation, continual growth has been fueled by a mixture of PPC, CRO, Email Marketing and Magento improvements. Being the face of the technology department has allowed me to grow into a larger role with more responsibility. Alongside this, inputting into the content and CRM roadmap has allowed all channels to become unified.Day to day, liasing with the native speakers for each relevant country has allowed me to understand different cultures and how they shop online, along with inspiring and sharing my online knowledge with native speakers and how that knowledge can translate to specific cultures throughout the world such as America, France, Germany and Italy. Managing and liaising with colleagues in other aspects of the business such as SEO, PPC and marketing allowed me to have an overall view on our proposition.

Progressing my career further, I have continued to work in house at a company offering a complete web solution for sports teams all the way from grassroots to top leagues. My role has predominantly revolved around conversion rate optimisation of funnels on the content management system used by users to create the sports sites along with the front end result to ensure every type of user has the highest chance of converting and contributing to the uplift in KPIs.

Working for an award winning marketing agency, I learnt how to work under a fast paced, agile environment conducting UX consultancy work for large companies such as Durex, Rockar & Carpetright. Creating testing road maps for a continual improvement of client’s websites was a key aspect of my work, conducting tests using the latest software such as Visual Website Optimiser or Monetate with aid of our in house web developers allowed us to test hypotheses based on existing data to increase ROI.

At Best Western I played a key part in the UX and design of the new website which incorporated a mixture of UX & CRO work. Working in an agile way allowed this project to be delivered on time and on budget. Not only did I take part in delivering the project, but continual optimisation of the site was vital in order to tailor the experience around Best Westerns users taking into account how they act on the site itself and what method of entry to the site they use such as PPC optimised landing pages or tailored user journeys for affiliates.

Out of college, I gained an apprentice position at a law firm attempting to go fully digital and lead the way in what is generally, an old sector. I aided the teams in creating a new website, training app, promotional videos and other marketing material.
