He can cast and execute ideas swiftly.Three years ago he cofounded ukoo, a creative agency that manages and produces social media content for local and national brands (in Mexico). At the beginning he was Sr Producer… well, he was also screenwriter, runner, director, editor, sound mixer and post producer (they had no personnel and pretty small budgets) for videos. A year ago, he became Head of Physical Production and created a team of great producers, DPs, and editors. (Some of them were his students at the University). He knows how to start small and grow big.As an associate of this agency he helped to improve other departments of our company. Social Media, as a career option, is very young in Mexico so he learned and mastered with his colleagues all the features of a Community Manager. Each time a client hires ukoo he jumps in as a Creative Director and develops campaigns, content strategies, plannings, brand voice, brand personality and moderation policies for the new brand. Production is not the only area of his expertise.Graduate in Bachelor´s degree on Communications in the Universidad de Xalapa, Omar has walked the path of storytelling and media broadcasting on several fields such as tv series and feature film screenwriting, tv programing, social media management, marketing and creative direction in advertising. He has also taught Communication courses at several Universities. He is currently working on the latest tv series for Mara Escalante “Lola”, who is one of Mexico’s very top comedians. Additionally he’s been cowritting a feature film script for a new dramedy called “Coche Sardina”.
