• Taught seventh-grade mathematics to 80+ scholars, including scholars with IEP’s, across three classes during the 2018-19 academic year by skillfully orchestrating problem-solving through multiple representations, meaningful mathematical discourse, and productive struggle. Of the scholars tested, 100% percent passed the NYS Math Test with 98% receiving a 4 on the state's 1-4 scale. During the 2017-18 academic year, 100% of scholars taught also passed the NYS math test (compared to 40% across the city’s 65000+ seventh graders). Of the 100%, 93% scored a 4.• High performance on teaching curriculum aligned with NYS common core standards. Includes but is not limited to the concepts of expressions, equations, inequalities, percent change, ratios, operations with integers, statistics, probability, circles, and geometry. • Built genuine relationships with scholars and families alike with hopes of teaching young adults the value of character, maturity, and an authentic investment in their academics.• Tasked with training first-year educators, all of whom secured STEM lead teaching positions or school leadership positions immediately afterward.• Facilitated remote learning to over one hundred seventh grade scholars using live web conferencing, interactive applications, and competitive tools to engage scholars and push intellectual thinking.
