I identify as a second-generation immigrant and a first-generation college student, and I take pride in that. I believe that coming from my background has given me a unique perspective and has shaped my aspirations to become the best at what I can do. I’m competitive by nature and I’m driven primarily by observing the successes of those I look up to, because I want nothing more than to achieve what I am capable of, and to make my parents proud. I take pride in being a persistent, diligent, and determined person and will stop at nothing to show that. I also believe that attending university in one of the largest cities in the world has been such a great opportunity to pursue my professional and personal development. The wealth of professional opportunities that not only Fordham offers, but New York as a whole has to offer, reinforces my choice even more. This, in addition to the rich culture, has given me an exceptional undergraduate experience that I will take with me well into the future. I believe that the skills I have obtained from my background, competitive undergraduate experience, and dynamic environment define who I am today and I look forward to implementing them in future opportunities.
