Manufacturing Engineer
Current• Manufacturing Engineer of a mission critical and multifunctional weather satellite that was reported in June 2023 to congress as one of the top 5 high performing programs for U.S. Space Force. Involved in all manufacturing phases including piece parts, harnessing, mechanical assemblies, instruments, bus, spacecraft, and final integration & testing of the satellite.• Perform analysis, planning, coordination, and creation of manufacturing, test and integration operations. • Improve and modify product designs assuring manufacturability while reducing costs, meeting program delivery requirements, and adhering to rigorous quality requirements.• Lead multifunctional teams of engineers, planners, technicians, and inspectors through multiple phases of product manufacturing and tests.• Create procedures and electronic build documentation for manufacturing, integrating, and testing electronic, mechanical and RF assemblies designed for spaceflight.• Review bill of materials, engineering drawings, procedures and documents prior to manufacturing operations to ensure correctness and producibility.• Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software for production and resource planning, material acquisition and shop order kitting. • Maintain MS Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to manage and coordinate technicians, build teams and work centers.• Facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) for anomaly disposition and resolution actions by employing root cause analysis and risk reduction / error management techniques.• Ensure manufacturing procedures and processing conform to company and contract requirements while complying to industrial, ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.• Establish layout and design of manufacturing floor and tooling to maximize workflow efficiency, optimization, and resource utilization for high mix / low volume builds.
