About Onno De Vreede

I am an experienced manager in the areas of Chemistry and WaterMaritime with a passion for HUMAN CAPITAL Innovation. After my MSc studies in (Bio-)Chemistry and Biotechnology, I worked for 24 years in the (bio-)chemical companies Gist-brocades and DSM. I managed innovation projects for 13 years, R&D departments for 5 years and Continuous Improvement/ Sustainable Development programs for 5 years. From 2014-2020 I was employed at the Association of the Dutch Chemical Industry (VNCI) where I headed (policy) development programs in the areas of Innovation and Human Capital. In 2021 I started my own consultancy company HUCAPS for implementation of Human Capital Projects. I work at the interface of sector organisations, companies and education institutes. Currently I am coordinator of the Human Capital Agenda's of two Dutch topsectors: ChemistryNL and the Topsector WaterMaritime. As a person I am analytical and structured. Curious and enthusiastic. A team player with an open mind and good communication skills, building upon personal leadership of people. Always seeking for chances, and exploring opportunities for sustainable value creation w.r.t. PEOPLE, planet and profit.
