King County Search and Rescue volunteers are ready to respond when people find themselves in imminent danger or distress, such as when a hiker gets lost or injured.With over 500 volunteers, King County Search and Rescue is the largest search and rescue organization in Washington state. We respond to more than 160 calls a year, both in and outside of our county. In 2014, we completed 134 missions, volunteered almost 19,000 mission hours, and drove more than 180,000 miles. We’re funded 100% by generous donations–we do not receive any money from taxes. We are proudly 100% volunteer, and we provide our services at no cost to citizens of King County.

Planetary Natural Resources Group (NRG) is dedicated to enabling existing biodiesel refineries to create high quality biodiesel from a low cost, sustainable raw material source that does not promote deforestation or reduce food sources. Our proprietary Asimilyte™ process produces Regenerated Feedstock from waste grease and other high Free Fatty Acid (FFA) materials typically used for cattle feed or disposed of in landfills. This Regenerated Feedstock can be used by existing biodiesel refineries that were designed to run solely on virgin oilseed crops such as soybean or canola without forcing multi-million dollar retrofitting projects.

Planetary Fuels is creating a network of distributed biodiesel refineries beginning in Washington State and propogating throughout the United States. These refineries are remotely monitored and managed via our facilities operation center (FOC) and are very modular in nature.

This technology continually observes the state of the internet in its myriad pathways and chooses the best path between all of the InterNAP facilities and their associated connections.In this position, I led the team of network engineers and researchers who expanded upon the initial product to create the version of ASimilater running the InterNAP infrastructure today.
