I graduated UNC-Chapel Hill with double major in both economics and psychology in May of 2024. My future plans include pursuing law school, and in the meantime I aim to broaden my practical experience in the legal field dedicated to absorbing as much insight and experience as possible. Currently, I work as a paralegal, collaborating closely with attorneys to prepare and file I-140 petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability in the entertainment industry. My role involves drafting and reviewing Requests for Evidence (RFE) responses and cover letters to ensure comprehensive and persuasive documentation. I conduct thorough research and gather supporting evidence to demonstrate clients’ extraordinary abilities and achievements for submission to USCIS. Additionally, I create legal arguments based on current evidence and develop exhibits that align with the most suitable visa category for each client. To stay updated on immigration laws and regulations relevant to I-140 petitions, I utilize legal research tools and databases including BlueDot and CampLegal, ensuring our filings are accurate and compliant.Throughout college, I have gained valuable work experience through various companies. From June to August 2022, I interned at H.C. Wainwright & Co.,LLC, a middle-market investment bank in NYC, where I was involved in the equity capital market team. During this time I primarily focused on organizing our Annual Global Investor Conference. My responsibilities included inviting investors and coordinating one-on-one meetings between the company and investors. I also worked as a legal assistant on the legal team for Chapel Hill Thrill Escapes and as a Social Justice Advocate for the student government in my community. My engagement extends to Carolina Women in Economics, where I served as a member and a mentor for several underclassmen in the club. Additionally, I maintain a strong work ethic and commitment by working as a waitress at Carrabba's Italian Grill. Over the past two years, I have contributed as an office assistant, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our Hillel building. My blend of academic pursuit, professional experience, and extracurricular involvement reflects a well-rounded and dynamic personality.
