As the Lead Safety Representative for Monash High Powered Rocketry, I am responsible for both the management of safety documentation and procedures for the entire team and the general safety culture and well-being of all team members. I produce documentation for the team through Risk assessments, Safe Work Instructions, and Event risk management Plans. I also assess the risks and hazards of projects and designs for all systems within the team, providing guidance and feedback to members. Furthermore, I am the team liaison with the Monash Student Teams Initiative, where I assess the team's current needs and responsibilities and implement MSTI's mandates on a team-wide scale. Finally, I take an active role in making sure members hold themselves and each other to the highest standard when it comes to safe practices. I nurture and support members in applying the best safe practices both inside and outside the team leading to an overall safer and more secure experience within the team.

As propulsion vice lead I manage and organise 3-4 engineering projects consisting of around 5 engineers. This involves setting and managing deadlines and expectations, overseeing design and manufacturing, and organising and maintaining communication between members. I am also overseeing all OH&S documentation for the Propulsion sub-team.

As a safety representative, I assist in all the duties of the safety lead in the team and take on a mentoring role when it comes to the safety culture within Monash HPR. I produce safety documentation including Risk Assessments, Safe Work Instructions, and Event Risk Management Plans for the team with high attention to detail. I also assist other students in developing their own safety documentation by helping them understand the requirements and responsibilities of the safety representative for any project. Moreover, I oversee the general safety within the workspace including assessing the quality of equipment and practices within the team.

Oversaw a team of 5 students to develop a monopropellant rocket engine. My tasks involved designing a challenging yet achievable task for the team with clear deliverables, overseeing the organisation and management of the team, creating and enforcing deadlines, assisting the team with questions and concerns, documenting all safety requirements for testing and manufacturing, organising testing, communicating and collaborating with the faculty of engineering to develop key assessment criteria and assisting in the development of a strong team culture.

As an assistant robot operator, I assist the lead engineer in producing cold spray solutions to the lead engineer during sprays. This involves the preparation and management of powders as well as cell cleaning. I also provide pre-machining and post-machining of parts. Finally, I also conduct lab research of cold-sprayed samples.

During my time as a Summer Researcher, I was tasked with developing code to analyse the quality of liquid film cooling in a hybrid rocket engine. This involved self-teaching a new coding language, Julia, to improve the efficiency of existing code which had been created by a previous researcher. Once I had done this I then had to develop new code to simulate a variety of conditions that occur in a rocket engine such as the dispersion of liquid film. Turbulence in the surface layer, and mixing of liquid and gaseous regions in the film.
