Conducted detailed study of steam systems. Study produced an action items based on industry best practices and improved the systems efficiency, reliability and safety. Created construction packages to implement an action item list. Task included creating P&IDs, piping details, piping layouts, piping isometrics, equipment specifications and statements of work. Created detailed construction packages for client small projects. Projects included fire protection system, HVAC Systems, process piping and utility piping systems. Designed paper machine and converting utilities (Compressed Air, Steam, HVAC) for paper machine rebuild project. Tasks included developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), managing equipment list and writing equipment specifications.Completed 200 plus process safety studies of safety devices (i.e. relief valves, rupture disks) in liquid and gas systems in the paper, power, food, and chemical industries. Completed all the safety devices calculations, evaluating multiple relief scenarios, insuring valves had correct set points and capacity. Made recommendation on the devices, equipment and piping which significantly improved client’s safety.Helped design and developed construction packages for bulk chemical transfer systems. Tasks included specifying and designing large tanks and pressure vessel. In addition, equipment pipe and valve lists were produced. Equipment specifications were made for pumps, valves and filters. The project received a 94% on its client survey.Conducted a fire suppression study for power plant’s coal bunkers, pulverizers, and CO2 system. Identified multiple discrepancies and developed a plan for the client to make necessary repairs and upgrade to their fire suppression capabilities.Design system to transport excess and food waste product to storage tank. Developed all P&ID’s and specification for equipment.

Marinette, Wisconsin

Directed the logistic, administrative and warranty efforts for the contract that designed and built the CGC Mackinaw. Managed $2 million in project funds.Directed 8 personnel on the review and inspection of ship’s drawings, technical manuals and machinery. A resulting $4 million in discrepancies were identified and corrected.Planned the inspections and testing of $1 million worth of ship repairs during a 6 week and a 2 week maintenance periods. All repairs were completed above Coast Guard standards and in accordance with the contract. Assisted with the coordination of $1 million repair of ship’s propulsion drive bearings. The repairs saved the Coast Guard $1 million in yearly maintenance cost. Coordinated 168 warranty repairs between the CGC Mackinaw and Marinette Marine. The ship never missed a mission due to warranty problems.Wrote statements of work and reviewed the contractor’s proposals for engineering changes to fluid, fire suppression, and mechanical systems valued at $2 million. Designs met contract requirements and Coast Guard criteria.
