I completed the QQI level 5 Early Childhood Education and Care in Bray Institute of Further Education, I am currently studying the QQI level 6 supervision in Early Childhood Care and Education Advanced. What drew me to this was my experiences that I had with children. I find that children are naturally drawn to me and I think I'm fun to be around. one thing that is very important to me is relationships with children and I experienced this by always babysitting my little brothers and cousins. I also had the experience of teaching conversational english to two young spanish girls.Through my experience in my place setting last year proved that relationships are very important between a child and a practitioner because with interacts it helps the child feel comfortable and secure with in themselves.I am very passionate about John Locke’s theory that when children are born, they are blank slates. Knowledge is developed through having real life experiences, repetition, training and virtue. Which I can see on a day to day basis observing children as they play. To have a good role model around young children is very important to me. they learn from the environment around them. this should be a positive environment. I would consider myself a fun person to be around, I am very bubbly and entertaining. I think this is why children are naturally drawn to me. I am great at problem solving and time management. I am also very good at organising which is great for planning activities for children. I enjoy singing, acting and reading to children.
