With a comprehensive background in risk and reliability engineering, coupled with extensive experience in health, safety, and environmental management within the offshore oil and gas industry, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and regulatory acumen. Holding a Master of Science (MSc) in Risk and Reliability Engineering, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Occupational Health and Safety Control and Industrial Hygiene, and a Graduate Certificate in Business, my educational foundation underscores my commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in this ever-evolving industry. My professional career started in Europe on offshore land reclamation, pipelay, and cable lay projects. In 2006, I moved to Australia, working in quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) management roles across major oil and gas projects in Western Australia (WA) and Southeast Asia with tier-one service providers. In 2021, I moved from the service-providing sector to the federal government, where I currently serve as the Assistant Director for Strategic Regulation and Improvement at the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA). Outside my day-to-day job, I hold multiple volunteer roles, such as Scholarship Chair on the Society of Petroleum Engineering (SPE) WA and a General board member for Timor Leste Vision (TLV).
