I possess progressive experience managing a variety of social service and educational programs, as well as recruitment, hiring and talent development for program staff. As executive director of the organization I have developed urban planning concept papers including the 59th Street Green Business District proposal that became the inspiration for the Green Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative serving several south side communities.

    I was the regional lead field organizer for the south side of Chicago for Energy Impact Illinois. The program is an energy assessment and energy upgrade program for owners of buildings including single family homes and 2-4 unit buildings. The program is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act stimulus program. Homeowners are offered the opportunity for having energy audits done for $99.00 (ask me how to have it done for free), rebates for proposed air sealing and insulation of 70% up to a maximum amount of $1,750.00 and loans capped a 8% with the stimulus package through our program paying the interest payments for the first 12 months of the loan term. Other rebates are available for new furnaces and boilers which may also financed through the loan program along with Energy Star appliances.My team and I conducted one on one meetings with interested community organizations, block clubs, faith based institutions and homeowners. Further we were responsible for all follow up activities to ensure that homeowners were satisfied with the energy retrofits completed by the contractors.This was a temporary program as the part of the economic stimulus package; funding expired in August 2013.
