About Orsolya Szoke
Nice to meet you: my name is Orsolya, but please call me Orsi. I was born and raised in the beautiful mountainous countryside of Hungary before moving to the capitol, Budapest to study economics and marketing in college. Taking a deep breath I moved to London in 2013 and have been residing in the UK capitol ever since.I had always felt quite a strong creative urge - I just couldn’t pinpoint exactly what direction it would take. My journey into graphic design started with a request for a staff event poster at one of my previous workplaces: that was the moment my passion materialized, and I felt inclined to learn more about design, typography, colours and layout. In 2017 I enrolled at a Professional Development Course in Digital Graphic Design, and since then I have been truly convinced that Graphic Design is what I had been longing for.What do I like most about Graphic Design? I find it exciting that instead of words I can use colour palettes, combinations of shapes and types to communicate a message or express a feeling. For me Graphic Design for me is about communication and creative problem solving, the art of visual perception and the psychology of colours.I am an aspiring designer determined to develop and committed to learning. I am a confident and highly organised individual with high level communication skills and excellent adaptability. In the past 10 years I have been working in the event marketing and hospitality industry - an experience that refined and channeled my creative orientation while strengthening my communication and administration skills immensely through a wide variety of international clients. I consider myself an open-minded, enthusiastic and proactive co-worker with an out of the box mentality, strong work ethic, good co-operational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
