Design of cutting edge approaches across multiple industries including locomotive design, and medical devices. I have brought disruptive design methodology to multiple industries with leading edge designs. My work spans design automation, using configurators and IDTs(Interactive Design Tools), mechanical analysis, concept generation, and reduction to practice. Responsibilities include P&L responsibilities and leadership of Engineering, Supplier Management and Production for industrial mixers/dryers/reactorsMajor Accomplishments Include:-Reorganization of engineering efforts and implementation of complete streamlining of the value stream. -Implementation of a unique process employing an Interactive Design Tool (IDT) configurator which provides tremendous value to the customer by allowing them direct access to a 3D CAD model of their proposed system as many times as they wish from our new website.-Development of standardized design master model driven directly by the IDT for 12 lines of mixers to reduce engineering cycle time and greatly improve output consistency. -Leadership of development of a new website and company brand-Implementation of full redesign of twelve lines of mixers with emphasis on cost and speed to market-Reinitiation of work in double arm mixers, restoring the Littleford name in this market for the first time in recent memory. This task alone has added $7 Million to top line revenues in 2 1/2 years with consistently high margins-Successfully negotiated two contracts with the Collective Bargaining Unit at Littleford.-Redesigned the engineering facility to include a test lab and thoroughly modernized engineering department.
