Load tests were a must in many tasks.Worked as part of a team responsible for optimizing extremely loaded parts of the system and was able to reduce some DB calls by more than 5x, which minimized CPU load to use fewer instances.Automated and optimized the delivery arrive-on-time risk calculations to run in the background utilizing Redis sets, with an algorithm to minimize risk updates to only when necessary.Paired on designing and implementing a system to sync data between MySQL and CosmosDB, using a service bus to send thousands of MySQL updates per minute, and then using Redis locks to pick the correct message to update CosmosDB, the system was able to sync many concurrent updates to the same record between the two DBs in less than 0.1 seconds most of the times.

I learned a very valuable set of soft skills, communication, leadership.being in class and helping others has taught me about the impact I can leave on people, it pushed me to learn more and be a better trainer for them, I discovered many weak points I had from their questions, the different ways of thinking from one to one has given me a better perspective on problems.Besides being in-class I worked with an awesome variety of people and teams, was responsible for creating class plans, class activities, workshops materials, giving feedback, leading capstone projects, holding office hours, and much other cool stuff. We also had to work very hard on our technical skills in order to deliver better classes.Working on different small projects from time to time with the students helped me learn some new technologies like redux, graphql, Prisma, and a few CSS frameworks.I was also part of a team working on re:coded labs (part of re:coded, a software solution company) projects, we used reactJS, nextJS, typescript, sass, redux, CI/CD, testing, and linting.

I worked as a freelancer on many different projects, which helped me understand how to deal with clients, collect requirements, plan, deploy and deliver.During my time as a freelancer, I worked on mobile apps using flutter, web apps using reactJS and Vanilla JS, and backend using NodeJS, express, and PostgreSQL, I had the chance to explore ORMs like sequelize, use JWT Auth, and testing using Chai and Jest.I usually worked on the project from start to finish by myself, so I got a good taste of all the phases of the development life cycle.
