MoneyTO sends more than money it sends dreams, food for families and solutions to problems, the team understands the importance of customers sending money to their home countries.I was responsible for developing the company from inception. I introduced and implemented a system called JIRA (Kanban, Scrum) and Confluence for project management. I mainly focused on creating a business plan, building a strong team and creating an energetic work environment. I subsequently moved to software development (Salesforce), building up what is known as the LATAM payment partner network and defining all internal operating processes. After trading activities commenced I concentrated on marketing, sales and strengthening relationships with banks, regulators, brokers and providers.

The plans were based on key indicators related to market conditions, competitor analysis and company resources. I drove the development of new and profitable services and served as the main point of contact for the FCA, HMRC, banks and associations. I provided a high level of information to the board of directors, enabling them to make better informed business decisions.

Responsible for restructuring the firm’s business development division and improving liaison between related business departments. This allowed for efficient and sustainable growth in the UK. I led the establishment of three key branches in the UK and I was part of a project team charged with an initiative to enable UK customers to send money abroad by leveraging ePay terminals at Tesco stores, off-licenses and other retailers.

Spain

In charge of overall management of a correspondent (partner) network in the EMEA region. I signed up new banks and financial institutions liaising directly with the banks’ and institutions’ legal departments to adjust agreements, fully manage software integration and establish procedures for customer service, operations and treasury. I created a combined marketing strategy with payment partners and increased transactions volume.

I led the expansion of sales from one market sector (Brazil) to all LATAM countries. Following UNO’s acquisition by OMNEX I played a key operational role in ensuring the successful transition and restructuring of the resulting organisation in the UK. I developed some improvement areas, including pricing schemes and competitor analysis, to set market competitive FX rates. I was group leader in charge of operations and compliance. I was a key member of a team responsible for the in-house development of a software system called OMNEX II that is now used successfully by one of the world largest companies in the money transfer sector.

Colombia

Responsible for the adoption of innovative technologies for printing, scanning, faxing and copying documents. I was also accountable for the training of technical and sales teams, and business partners and involved in the sales and distribution of new technologies. I led technical support teams in the southwest Colombia, improving service quality and reducing operational costs.
