I cut my programming teeth at 16 with BASIC and Assembly Language in 8-bit days. These days I’ve accomplished my A.A.S. in Information Technology, my B.A.Cs in Network Operations & Security from Western Governor’s, and am working on my M.C.S. in Cloud Computing at the University of Maryland. I am employed as a slot-technician currently at Little Creek Casino and Resort, where I practice my software and electronics troubleshooting skills to keep all the games running and in the future I expect I will be involved in either teaching or a working as a cloud architect/consultant.While technology is my forte’, I have also developed communication, leadership, and project management skills to a very high degree. Having used GNU/Linux as my computing platform of choice since 2003 I am as comfortable with the terminal as I am in a GUI. Outside of my college studies, I am working on building out my private cloud on a Proxmox base.Currently my cloud consists of Nextcloud hub (private suite and doc sync), Zoneminder (NVR), OpenMediaVault (NAS), HomeAssistant (Automation), and an instance of Windows 2019 that isn’t used for much since I started using Tailscale to provide a ubiquitous file system, and am currently working on researching how I migh deploy an AI lab.Professional goals: To grow into a position where I can utilize my technical, organizational, technical, and communications skills in a meaningful way to maintain the security and functionality of existing infrastructure and improve upon it.
