My over 18 years’ work experience spans across private sector, environmental, forestry and wildlife; and natural resources management projects through building capacity of Protected Area Authorities (PAAs) through structural works (ranger outposts, radio installations, forest roads and bridges) and supporting recruitment and training of forestry staff (patrolmen and Collaborative Forest Management (CFM) groups to enhance law enforcement for improved integrity of forest; water sources protection; fresh water conservation, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); improved energy technology development, environmental education and awareness to promote stewardship, wildlife and biodiversity management for NGOs, communities and in the extractive industry; human-wildlife conflict management, development and implementation of alternative economic livelihoods to forest adjacent communities as an economic incentive for forest protection, oil and gas; supporting climate change resilience, mitigation and adaptation strategies (including CDMs, NbS, PES and REDD+); supporting agriculture and food security initiatives. Through participatory approaches I have ably implemented these through integrated models to achieve sustainable holistic development outputs. I have implemented several huge donor funded interventions with grants from USAID, Austrian Government, Dutch Government; several Foundations, among others, with both International Non-Governmental Organizations and private sector through a partnership-led approach involving among others, community based organizations (CBOs), relevant Government Ministries and the Local Governments. I am interested in sustainable development and economic well-being of the global community.
