Lead geophysicist for appraisal of the high-value ‘hub-class’ Deepwater Appomattox discovery, with a successful US$700mln 5 well highly integrated-appraisal campaign, realizing ~600mmbbl ‘recoverable’ resources and handover to development 6 months ahead of schedule. Led integrated subsurface evaluation program with 23 multi-disciplinary staff. Appomattox is Shell’s largest development in the GOM. Safely drilled first tranche of Deepwater wells to ‘re-start’ Exploration in the GOM following the Macondo incident, under intense HSSE, regulatory and industry scrutiny. Shot proprietary customized Ocean-Bottom-Node survey for a sedimentary target, utilizing top Shell experts, which reduced key subsurface appraisal and development risks and uncertainties associated with the opportunity.

Miri, Malaysia

Led transformation of Geo-solutions team into an advanced-solutions group, incorporating full range of differentiating Shell global technologies. Team lead and project owner for advanced seismic projects for Shell Asia-Pacific region. Managed all external vendor/contractor imaging projects for Asia-Pacific region. Galvanized and coached young team which led to a step-change transformation of center, moving from ‘mainstream’ projects to 'cutting-edge' seismic workflows. Represented Shell as Subject-Matter-Expert for Non-Operated-Venture projects.

Interpretation role in Exploration and management of seismic acquisition operations and processing projects.
