SCORE Advisory Board Service (AB Service) is offered by SCORE NYC, the mentoring arm of the US Small Business Administration for firms having 25 to 200 employees.The AB service is designed to help companies grow by providing a team of our most experienced mentors to assist them with their specific challenges. In selecting a team, we look for those that have the specific expertise to meet the company’s individual challenges. Having an Advisory Board is especially helpful when a company is undergoing management transition, planning for significant growth, succession or the sale of the business. Advisors provide their time as a way to give back to the business community. SCORE AB Service charges an annual fee of $3,500.     SCORE's Advisory Board Service is looking to help more small businesses in the Greater NY area. Please contact me if you are interested in this wonderful service.SCORE's Advisory Board Service is specifically designed for larger businesses that tend to have a revenue range of $2-10m and a mid-tier level management team. The AB team meets with clients on a quarterly basis with interim follow-ups as needed. SCORE offers expertise specifically matched to the client’s challenges, including cost control, cash management, finance, marketing, technology, franchising, operations, organizational structure, human resources, succession planning, and other business challenges. It can also provide amazing support for the Chief Executive and is often very helpful for a business undergoing management transition. While the AB team members are not paid, there is a small AB Service fee for the client of $3k. At present, I personally have been on three boards and I have seen its enormous impact and benefit to clients.
