Building Services Manager Supervisor Foreman
CurrentProvide overall management of day and night laborer/housekeeping work forces, comprising 43 full-time Gallery employees and 4 subordinate supervisors. Uses Microsoft, Outlook, Word, and Excel daily to establish shop records, and to communicate with internal and external customers. Perform Document Destruction responsibilities. Uses computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) daily to schedule, track, and account for material costs and labor hours for assigned work orders. Knowledgeable of the workers compensation program and treatment for injured or disabled employees. Understands and implements the collective bargaining agreement. Performs a variety of duties and assignments related to the supervision of an assigned group of employees, responsible for carrying out duties involving custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, and sanitation activities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the treatment and care of National Gallery of Art. Direct supervision of all staff revises work plans, work assignments and methods as necessary to reduce and/or control cost and to accomplish the work of the unit as effectively as possible. Conducts joint resident-management inspections to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance, and habitability of the unit, furnishings, equipment, and facilities; Performs facility manager duties for facilities; identifies, coordinates, and submits work orders related to preventive maintenance, repair, and construction work to sustain safe and reliable operations. Assist in building and perimeter safety inspections; conduct the Safety Awareness of Employees and Staff. Streamlining workflow processes to ensure we are following the most current policies and directives.; choreographing many special projects and conducting extensive research, to provide accurate information to my leadership. Serving as the administrative liaison and administrative link with the National Gallery of Art Director and Department Chief of Facilites Building Services.
