Clinical trials are essential for developing safe and effective medicines, but they often lack diverse representation of the disease populations they aim to serve. This can compromise the quality and validity of the results, and limit the accessibility and applicability of the treatments. I have dedicated over 20 years of my career to addressing this challenge, by applying my scientific, clinical, and technological expertise to promote diversity and inclusion in clinical research. As the Co-founder and Principal Consultant at Trial Equity, I lead a team of experts who partner with various stakeholders in the healthcare industry to deliver innovative education and thought leadership programs. These programs empower clinical research professionals with the knowledge and resources they need to expand clinical trial opportunities to diverse participants, accelerate patient recruitment, and enhance data quality. Through my work, I have contributed to the development of more inclusive and equitable medicines for all people. I have also been recognized as one of the most inspiring and influential leaders in this field, by prestigious organizations such as Pharmavoice, Mogul, and the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA). I am the recipient of the 2024 HBA Honorable Mentor Award and named to the 2022 Pharmavoice100 list. Currently, I serve on the advisory boards of Wake Forest University's Clinical Research Management Program and the HBA, where I collaborate with visionary leaders to shape the future of clinical research and healthcare.
