The Canada School of Public Service launched a new business line in September of 2018. The goal of the Digital Academy is to up skill 300,000 public servants in core digital skills as the public service transforms to a digital first model. The Digital Academy also seeks to build innovative products and proof of concepts in collaboration with partners to show the art of the possible.Main role and responsibilities:* Tech lead for various projects including busrides.ca, a micro learning platform on digital topics* AWS and Azure Cloud management as well as building CI/CD pipelines for multiple apps and projects* Developing products and proof of concepts in Python, React, PostgreSQL and various other technologies to show the art of the possible* Giving talks and presentation on various topics from Python to applications of ML to encourage exploration and learning

In 2015 Health Canada created a new branch, the Regulatory Operations and Regions Branch. The goal of this branch is to provide a complete upheaval of the many regulatory processes that Health Canada is responsible for. The Data Analytics and Business Solutions unit was established a center of excellence for data analytics and business solutions for regulatory applications supporting both the branch and the rest of the department. The unit has already successfully drastically improved regulatory workflows through various projects. It is currently evaluating applications of cutting edge technology such as deep learning and neural nets to regulatory data. My responsibilities included:Leading development on several high impact and critical projects such as building, deploying and maintaining cannabis inspection infrastructure and automating regulatory report generation for stakeholder which was previously all manual.Exploring applications of machine learning and deep learning technology to improve and optimize regulatory workflows.Consulting on best data practices for enterprise systems to foster a data driven culture within the Regulatory Operations and Regions Branch.

The technology business and innovation unit was established in the Regulatory Operations and Regions Branch. The goal of this unit is to project manage and establish proof of concepts of innovative tools and business processes which drastically improve the efficiency of Health Canada employees. I received the ADM Award of Excellence as a student in this unit for my work leading the implementation of a Learning Management System called Edubrite responsible for training cannabis inspectors. My responsibilities includedConducting quantitative analysis to identify, optimize and evaluate solutions for business gaps and needs.Implementing and managing an enterprise Learning Management System to deliver training to cannabis Inspectors
