Finance Director of the Russian Unconventional and Exploration business of Shell, leading a team of 8 and managing a portfolio of JVs consisting of Khanty-Mansiysk Petroleum Alliance (Shell/GazpromNeft JV), Salym Petroleum Development (Shell/GazpromNeft JV) and Shell NefteGaz Development group of companies. Key achievements and responsibilities included:- Developed business and commercial strategy for the unconventional business in West Siberia- Implemented core financial processes in a newly set up JV, including planning, budgeting and appraisal cycles, shareholder service level agreements, local ERP solutions, local tax and treasury policies, offshore service center support, etc.- Led risk management, audit and assurance activities and assured proper governance in place.- Represented Shell on board committees of JVs and participated in commercial negotiations with partners- Managed capital structure, compliance, liquidity and funding requirements- Ensured proper statutory and group reporting in line with Russian GAAP and IFRS

Responsible for economic evaluation and analysis of new business development opportunities for Shell in Russia:- Led the valuation track in deal teams ensuring commercially sound, accurate, economic analysis supporting efficient and effective decision making.- Integrated assumptions and communication across commercial, finance, tax and technical to ensure aligned views on project and value.- Led 3rd party and Russian Federal Government engagements on value deal elements.- Supported negotiations on LNG marketing, shipping, term sheets and corporate structuring.- Supported drafting of JVAs, memoranda and LNG implementation agreements.- Led asset commercial teams as a Business Opportunity Manager for select projects.

Responsible for Shell MENA Upstream International Business Planning, Financial Analysis, Economics and Performance Reporting for the Upstream International MENA region of Shell. Total spend under managements in excess of $5 bln per year.Primary activities and deliverables included:­-Coordination of the delivery of a robust MENA business plan including full set of economics and financial statement for all assets in the region (Oman LNG, PDO, Mukhaizna, Iraq, UAE, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan). Managed in excess of 10 indirect staff through the process. ­-Support of quarterly performance appraisal of business performance and financial statements as well as month close activities of MENA region (latest estimates, cashflow statements, quarterly reviews for investor relations, dashboards)­-Review of group investment proposals and advise with regards of economic and financial evaluations (NPVs, DCF, risk modeling, financial impact analysis)­-Contributing to the center of excellence for the economics discipline for the MENA region, ensuring technical economic model integrity in all reporting entities­-Owning and maintaining economic/financial models and providing economic evaluation analysis and decision support for Oman assets of Shell.­-Coaching of junior regional and operating unit staff in best practices of business planing and financial valuation-Ad-hoc support activities of the MENA leadership team with regards to value management and financial analysis related issues-Coordination/review of MENA Standardized Measure and Proved Reserves submissions for external 20F publication.

Undertaken multiple projects in various group businesses mostly focused on valuing M&A opportunities, review of internal assets, assessment of restructuring options and general portfolio management including:-Development of a valuation model of an M&A transaction in the downstream market.
