He provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise across a range of solutions which combat financial crime, prevent fraud and maintain regulatory compliance. Steve has a comprehensive technical background surrounding data management and ETL processing, data warehousing, system architecture, scenario logic design with automated alert monitoring, case management, visual analysis reporting and data exploration.Prior to arriving at SAS, Steve was the founder of 6 Degree Intelligence, a SAS Alliance Gold Partner providing advisory consulting services. Steve designed, developed and launched a point solution called 6 Degree Risk built using SAS technology which focuses on identifying risk inherent within corporate relationships and other connections across public data sources. The solution leveraged advanced network graph theory and predictive analytics to connect and discover hidden linkages across disparate data sources. The solution helped identify productive leads which supported multiple white-collar criminal investigations within the law enforcement community.Steve holds a bachelor of science in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University.
