Hello! My name is Owen Devlin, and I am a recent graduate of Suffolk University in Boston. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. My passion for local news first sparked in high school. I developed a curiosity about what was happening in my community and whether these events were having a direct impact on myself and my neighbors. I started watching the 4 p.m. newscast after school, and the more I watched, the more transfixed I became. I recall my excitement after watching journalists working behind the camera and moving around in the fast-paced environment for the first time. I enjoy hearing the news of the day and observing the operations of the newsroom. I get an adrenaline rush when I watch breaking news. Working in TV news is not just an aspiration; it is a true calling. Ultimately, I aspire to work as a reporter to make a difference in my community and give the public a voice.
