I am Currently Responsible for servicing, inspection, repair and calibration of medical grade heat sealing machinery within the medical and pharmaceutical sectors of the packaging industry, this work is either carried out in-house or on-site, while conforming to the latest EN ISO 11607-2 : 2019 standard. This includes diagnosing specific fault issues and actioning appropriately, while Coordinating with the customer, ensuring that customer needs are understood and that a flexible approach is adopted to meet their needs. Calibration is carried to the UKAS standards with the aim to minimise any measurement of uncertainty by ensuring the accuracy of the heat sealer, temperature, speed, force, time and pressure are the parameters I will calibrate. I demonstrate using my own initiative well when conducting myself as a service engineer. Furthermore, I pride myself on being able to verbally communicate excellently with customers and colleagues to maintain a safe working environment for myself and others through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements

While maintaining the service section of my job role I am also responsible for producing and assembling packaging machinery in-house.. These machines are a range of heat sealing machinery either impulse, continuous feed or constant heat, that are sold within the food, industrial, medical and pharmaceutical sectors. These goods are manufactured mechanically in a variety of ways; motor driven continuous belt or band systems, mechanically operated solenoid machines or pneumatically controlled machines. I would consider myself as a thorough fitter and pay attention to detail with good practical and problem solving skills. I have a good understanding of how things are mechanically put together and how they function; this role requires me to understand engineering drawings as well as electrical and pneumatic circuits while complying with company regulations and efficiently working with others
