As a sophomore in Boston University's Questrom School of Business, I am passionate about finance and accounting, and seek to apply my growing skills in an internship that plays to my perceived strengths in financial accounting specifically. I will be seeking the opportunity to add value to a team, while experiencing real-world challenges. In terms of early experience, and as lead campus intern for All Roads Travel, I did sales prospecting that led 80 of my fellow students to consider a joint trip to a resort in the Dominican Republic, which created profit for the company and an affordable trip option for students through by the bundling of packages. At the time of this writing, our team expects 50 to go on the trip (will update with final numbers).Along with real world sales experience with All Roads Travel, I have made the strategic choice to begin assembling technical certifications that I feel will be useful early in my career. These include the Microsoft Excel Finance Crash Course from Wall Street Prep, which taught me business fundamentals of the application. Also planned for this year is the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst Certification from the Corporate Finance Institute (six-month course that delves into strategy, budgeting, and presentation skills).
