I work on a team that applies data science techniques to election results tabulation. The AP collects results from all 3,143 counties in the U.S. I identify and vet official sources; write and test Python Selenium code in a proprietary web scraper; and verify and configure data.

I write high-impact enterprise stories about student life and safety. My stories rely largely upon background sources, FOIA requests, data analyses, public documents and court cases. In addition, I cover breaking news and protests under deadline pressure.
