As a member of Georgia Tech's AIAA Design Build Fly Team, I am actively working to the design of our aircraft for this year’s competition. My specific contributions thus far include designing a small deployable "X-1" glider, developing a deployment system for the glider, and creating a pylon system to support a heavy payload under the wings. This experience is enhancing my skills in aircraft design, aerodynamics, and systems integration while allowing me to collaborate closely with teammates throughout the design and testing process. It’s a hands-on introduction to the challenges and innovations involved in aerospace engineering, especially when working under strict mission requirements and goals.
