Project to make a variety of university data available as Linked and Open Data. Included course data, library data, estates data and podcast data.

The Telstar Project is looking at how to integrate references to resources into a VLE, making it as easy as possible for students to access the referenced resources, while encouraging students (and teachers?) to adopt good practice in referencing and citations – e.g. Using an appropriate reference/citation style).Telstar is one of 21 projects funded under the UK Higher Education Joint Information Systems Committee’s Institutional Innovation Programme (Phase 2 – Large-scale Institutional Exemplars). The Open University Library is leading the project and working in collaboration with Open University Learning and Teaching Solutions and with RefWorks.

Responsible for a large team delivering back-office library services at Imperial College. This included library systems, acquisitions, cataloguing and electronic resources. Launched the Imperial Institutional Repository (SPIRAL), was Project Director for EThOS, working with the British Library to offer a national e-theses service, restructured the back office library teams.

Managed a range of web facing services including the website, student portal, Moodle VLE and Library systems

Managed the library systems and contributed to the strategic direction of the library as part of the senior management team. Included implementation of three new systems within the library services.

Wide range of duties including implementing a new library system, stock selection, information literacy teaching and research on behalf of the staff of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Supported Nursing students in their use of the library, responsible for implementing a small network (hardware and software), extending the use of the Internet in the library and helping users get the most out of the resources available on the Internet.
