Managed and delegated the work of 40 licensed technicians, apprentices, and fleet support staff, while accountable for the overall shop performance and KPIs. I have achieved a 93% technician performance rating, which is above the company average of 86%, by prioritizing and triaging units and repairs to maintain downtime at <1.6 days standard, and optimizing shop performance using root-cause analysis, creating SOPs to standardize repairs, proactively stocking the parts department, and ensuring proper tooling is available. Additionally, I coached technicians and develop apprentices to prepare them for writing their certificate of qualification exam and participate in Bison's Stepping Stone Program to address the province's technician shortage.

Managed a fleet of 200 trailers and 400 tractors with the coordination of 3rd party vendors to ensure equipment had preventative maintenance completed. Addressed daily owner operator concerns with their equipment and advised on the steps needed to be taken to keep their units running safely.Negotiated the sale and purchase of new/old equipment to adequately outfit the fleet. Collaborated with operations in planning to ensure downtime was nominal when the units were due for preventative maintenance.

Managed a team of 30 technicians in a 20 bay facility on a variety of trailer repairs: annual safety inspections, preventative maintenance, large fabrication repairs, reefer diagnostics and repairs. Supervised and organized work orders for 5 mobile technicians situated in the yard. Reviewed repairs completed by technicians for quality and to ensure safe practices were performed.

Conducted preventative maintenance inspections with the guidance of a licensed technician. Gained knowledge and experience working with a license technician to properly maintain and repair a variety of trailers equipped with different mechanical systems.
