Team lead for a group of award winning and multidisciplinary designers whose educational and work background is in industrial design and mechanical engineering. Position also includes project management duties on selected assignments.

I work within research & design projects as a industrial and/or mechanical designer. My main focus areas are industrial (B2B) and consumer solutions for major global brands.

Industrial and concept design work as well as overseeing the concepts' carryover to and during mechanical design and/or software design. In essence, I design tangible experiences that connect physical and digital worlds.

I work in product development projects as a Industrial Designer as well as a Mechanical Designer, wielding both hats at the same time or either one at any given time, depending on the project requirements. I work from early concept design to final manufacturing drawings. Other deliverables include visualizations, presentations and corporate communications.

Mechanical Designer in a product development project (Wärtsilä 31) that also strongly involved Industrial Design. In 2015, the Wärtsilä 31 engine achieved a Guinness World Records title for the most efficient 4-stroke diesel engine in the world and is featured in the Guinness communication material, prominently featuring the industrial design work.

Technical documentation for Vacon frequency converters, using the Framemaker/DITA development environment.

I worked on a creative learning environment for the web, called e-Cit as well as on a physical creative space called the Creativelab. I also made conceptual industrial design work for Nipere Oy (Rivakka).

I worked as a stage hand at the Vaasa city theatre and also shot acting rehearsals for the actors' use. I also held a small role in assisting a scenographer. This practical working period taught me a lot about the ways how stories are realised in a professional setting into actual productions.

Between 2000 and 2002, I worked as a volunteer projectionist for a local film club in Vaasa, Finland. I also worked on amateur productions that were shot on 16mm film. During this time, I actively used 3D software such as Softimage, Maya and Pixar Renderman in my own personal learning projects.
