I can handle both artistic and engineer oriented people. When required, I can perform hands-on or purely theoretical work tasks. In practice, this can mean anything from model building (mock-ups) to running a basic FEM/CFD simulation or doing research. I often employ methods that can combine these ways of working. An example of this is performing a participatory user study on a product that has evolved using industrial design and/or simulation techniques. My main interest is to deliver novel, real world benefits to various stakeholders, primarily the end user, by using any method(s) that will solve the problem at hand. A good problem is clearly defined but also a wicked one. A well understood and worthy problem definition will provide the necessary fuel to undergo a successful and memorable journey to deliver and communicate that benefit.Outside of working life, my hobbies include football (HJK), boardgames, disc golf, bicycling, investing, astronomy and playing (electric) guitar. I am interested in good storytelling and develop stories and scripts during my spare time. Trivia: I used to run a demoscene BBS in the 90's. This led to a very early interest in 3D modeling and graphics in general - experience that serves as a origin point to what I do now.
