In the Travelers Program a well diverse set of students are brought together to learn about the alarming incidence of health disparities in minority communities, especially regarding cardiovascular health. In this program students are taught how to better understand and treat the underserved communities in U.S. healthcare. Alongside this, they are responsible for taking on a research project with a faculty advisor at Weill Cornell Medicine. Through their research, students will increase their knowledge of clinical medicine and of what goes on behind the scenes in order to discover new findings that can better serve the health community.

Analyzing the biomechanics of various athletic activities in correlation with injury prevention techniques through formal research within the MGH Orthaepedic medicine and in coalition with Figur8 technology.

I worked productively with a group of interns under a head physical therapist in order to provide optimum care to patients. I performed therapeutic ultrasound, and other specific exercises in order to assess and provide treatment. Inform and teach patients in order to aid in successful rehabilitation. Maintained patient rooms, performed secretarial duties, and prepared and maintained ultrasound equipment and other medical instruments/tools.

As a veteran camp counselor, I held primary duty to ensure the safety of the children that I was given to lead. I organized educational and physical activities, in which a curiosity, fun, and growth was encouraged.

I worked enthusiastically to tutor 9th and 10th grade minority students at Codman High School in Massachusetts in the subjects of math, reading, and literacy in preparation for MCAS test. I played a sizeable role in bridging the achievement gap among minority students, and to positively influence their life choices.

I assisted Boston University staff lecturers to help develop cooperative and personal learning skills among students in a biology lab environment. I supported students in achieving an enhanced learning in the Biological studies as well as growth as an overall college student.
