Introduced a Kanban system to more effectively coordinate the efforts of the then current offshore Xamarin developers and achieve the desired stability goals prior to migration. Worked on the Xamarin code base to help identify and solve technically challenging issues such as those caused by lack of proper multi threading synchronization. Built from scratch a new platform involving back end software, third party integrations, and native iOS, Android, and web apps in record time and with a very small local development team. Identified talent, conducted testing and interviews. Architected the platform, lead and mentored the team performing meetings, code reviews and writing specifications. Configured servers and developed JavaScript server code for third party integration, ETL, and web presentation. Developed some technically challenging features in the apps such as iBeacon and location integration for iOS in Objective-C and Swift and a thread safe activity/ fragment data sharing cache in Java for Android. Started implementing Scrum but had to revert to a work queue to be more responsive towards the quickly changing business needs of a startup.

Automated multiple processes to reduce labor costs such as . Built mobile scanner interfaces. Developed from scratch a worldwide pull inventory system for auto-parts manufacturing that consolidated demand from the manufacturing facilities, kept track of in transit inventories and generated electronic orders to worldwide suppliers via EDI. Built from the ground up a special Java Tomcat engine that automatically generated complete web sites with CRUD, list and search functionality with just the input of SQL queries and some additional settings without any additional programming required for each additional page. Multiple complete systems were built on top of this technology with very little effort/cost such as a vendor quoting system.Responsible for the WAN network infrastructure (including security systems) that linked multiple offices in the US, Europe and Asia to the corporate headquarters in Mexico. Responsible for managing the IT department while supervisor was on leave. Was selected to become the next manager of the department.
